Job Description
The individual will work in the Regulatory risk and Portfolio insights and reporting Team for US Personal Banking Risk management team focusing on US Cards (Approximately 70+ million card members with $150+ billion in receivables). The individual will join a team that has responsibility for North America Cards and Personal Installment Lending portfolio
The person must be able to:
Think strategically and analytically and enjoy problem solving
Interpret business requirements for the purpose of liaising with Technology Developers.
Multitask to handle multiple enhancement projects and requirements
Perform business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.
Perform data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data.
Partner with Regulatory Engagement leads, Independent Risk and Compliance teams, Business, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to identify, communicate and resolve issues timely.
Navigate complex and variable issues and long-term quality improvement projects
Leverage on analytical tools including SAS, SQL, MS Excel, Tableau
Responsibilities
Active involvement in regulatory projects including the changes to the prudential and reporting standards as the SME
Ensuring compliance with the regulatory reporting policy and its control framework by enhancing governance to ensure accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting.
Investigate trends and insights to understand and pro-actively inform stakeholders of changes in regulatory reporting metrics
Develop and perform analysis that addresses concerns and issues in a clear and concise manner.
Partner with Regulatory leads, Independent Risk and Compliance teams, Business, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to identify, communicate and resolve issues timely.
Work with external vendors to analyze and respond to data quality issues and perform Root cause analysis
Data oriented with ability to quickly understand complex strategies and concepts and drive them into actionable recommendations
Willingness to take ownership of reports and transformation to drive best practice and contribute to a high performing team
Provide Audit support and answer questions whenever required
Provide analysis and support to Business Reporting team as required
Domain and Process Expertise
Sound understanding of credit risk management and business strategies /actions.
Experience in Credit card life cycle and data management
Ability to build and maintain relationships with superior ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
Good knowledge of Citi products, risk processes and controls with good understanding of key regulatory requirements and risk management framework.
Experience in compiling process and data quality metrics, analyzing results to clearly communicate data-driven analysis to senior management.
Good knowledge of risk management key concepts, risk credit cycle and controls
Qualifications:
8+ years of work experience in financial services or Management consulting or regulatory reporting role
Experience in regulatory reporting (FRB/OCC/FDIC) is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an analytical field is a minimum. Master’s degree is a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Technical
Proficient in SQL, SAS, UNIX, Tableau. Knowledge in mainframe environment a plus.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
SAS Certifications and Unix experience are a plus.
