Role Description
The Operational Process Engineer is responsible for the identification, analysis, promotion and implementation of enhanced operating solutions, with a focus on end-to-end process optimisation, for targeted business processes. The Operational Process Engineer may select and apply suitable tools to deliver identified improvements in support of the overall process objectives, which could include the introduction of Workflow, Robotics Process Application / Robotics Desk Application (RPA/RDA) solutions and other more advanced tools (e.g. AI; machine learning) to drive efficiency and improve controls. The Operational Process Engineer may be part of an Agile team with a focus on the re-design of enhanced operating solutions.

Define, measure, and analyze current state processes using Lean methods and process analytics to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and digital automation
Facilitate cross-functional workshops focused on process optimization and digital automation Design E2E target state processes and implementation roadmaps that integrate strategic objectives for operations (TOM), technology, business and product management team
Develop end-to-end (E2E) process models to assess drivers of processing time/ cost, risks, exceptions, failures and variations Work with Operations, Technology, Business and other partners in redesigning processes and defining digital automation solutions along with business case and Agile delivery plans
Support development and improvement of capacity, cost and workforce management systems Leverage process analytics/ simulation tools to run scenario and impact analysis for changes in staffing, automation, products/ volumes, regulation, and controls
Actively leverage and contribute to the process engineering "body of knowledge", including standard tools/ templates, best practice examples and guidance
Business Process Engineering team works in close partnership with divisions and functions to drive Transformation and Improvement projects, supporting the business in meeting their overall strategic objectives. We are looking for someone with the following attributes
Take responsibility to drive process transformation projects through streamlining, simplification, standardization and automation of the Operational processes across products and geographies within Investment Banking and Cross Products business Units Your skills and experience The Process Engineer leverages and builds upon a working knowledge and expertise that include
Lean, Business Process Re-engineering and process-based management disciplines (min. 5 years)
Understanding of Digital Process Automation (Workflow Mgmt., RPA, OCR/ ICR, AI/ML)
Agile project/ program management
Lean workshop planning and facilitation
Data analysis and visualization
Stakeholder engagement, Design Thinking and requirements definition
Lean/ Six Sigma certification or comparable process engineering qualification (preferred)
An understanding of Investment Banking Processes. i.e Front office, Middle office and Back office
6-7 years of relevant work experience
Prior experience in management consulting firm preferred
Have an aptitude to deconstruct a complex and ambiguous business problem, synthesize information, leverage process engineering principles and mindset to come up with an approach and sustainable solution Work effectively across cross functional diverse teams across all phases of the project
Have an excellent communication and presentation skills
Work actively towards the development of Process Engineering tools, templates and body of knowledge How we'll support you
