Role Responsibilities

Strategy
• This role envisages and encompasses the overarching responsibility of orchestrating and managing the end-to-end RWA Production for the Group and National Discretionary Countries ( NDs ) including delivery of COREP, RMI, ND Reports and delivery of Reports to all downstream teams. It focuses on the run management milestones, Capital data sourcing & Reconciliation, accurate computation of Risk Weighted Assets ( RWA ) input and configurations, operational Checks Controls & Governance, Adjustments Governance, compliance to BCBS 239 norms and facilitating timely, seamless delivery per the defined SLA.
• This position is expected to drive tangible, sustainable and continuous improvement to KPIs and CTQ (Critical to Quality) metrices corresponding to Capital processes, while at the same time work closely and proactively with various teams including Change, Business, ITO, FOT, Technology and Testing teams to ensure that the changes land smoothly into BAU

Business
• Balance Sheet Management- BSM (CoE) manages Regulatory Reporting and Analytics across Capital and Liquidity Streams for Group, Regions and Countries covering the entire Group Balance Sheet. This includes managing the complete assembly line of operations through Global Process Management model, providing assurances for the quality of data, monitoring service levels and quality of output, resolution of issues through Business support model and Insightful Analytics for Business Decision.

Processes
• Ensure timely delivery of services relating to Capital CoE including Risk Weighted Assets results, COREP, RMI, ND and all other internal and external reporting requirements within the Basel III framework which is now on transition phase into BASEL IV
• Support the designing of a robust and fit-for-purpose process to generate RWA data and metrics in constant engagement with the stakeholders and business partners
• Ensure RWA delivery process is supplemented by a strong and robust Data Assurance & Reconciliations framework, ensuring accuracy of RWA that is delivered including the delivery of the internal and external Capital Regulatory requirements as per the defined BASEL norms
• Deliver Uninterrupted BAU Operations with insight and value, while maintaining robust controls. Measure the process efficiency and outcomes through standard metrics & KPIs
• Exercise right level of diligence, control and governance to comply with bank's Data Quality and Reporting Standards including those that are prescribed by the Basel and Regulatory Environment in which the bank operates.
• Develop and maintain effective synergies and partnership with all stakeholders ( Technology, Business teams & GRR ) towards seamless Capital RWA delivery. Manage, track and ensure resolution of issues that pose an Operational & Regulatory risk to the bank
• Proactively drive resolution of data quality issues affecting Credit Risk KPIs ( EAD, RWA, EL, etc.) by working with various stakeholders ( Upstream systems, Business Finance, Risk, Finance systems, Business teams, Technology etc)
• Engage, Participate and Contribute towards ongoing change management initiatives to ensure the changes are seamlessly implemented into BAU devoid of any post-production issues, in line with the New Regulatory requirements per the defined standards
• Anticipate and identify existing or emerging risks / issues. Manage the tracking of requirements risks / issues / dependencies and assess the impact on delivery.
• Ensure compliance to BCBS 239 requirements around process documentation, KPIs and Metrics management, approvals, Governance and Controls and maintenance of relevant artefacts that will stand scrutiny to internal ORF reviews and external audits.
• Develop strong functional content across Basel framework (Basel III and IV), RWA Information & Capital Infra Functionalities and conduct trainings/share best practices across various teams and aim towards enhancing the analytical quotient in all reports submitted to the stakeholders
• Work towards continuous improvement to identify and implement opportunities to enrich or simplify the existing processes, decrease process turn-around time, eliminate process redundancies and thereby improve productivity
• Engage and partner with the stakeholders and business teams to constantly seek their feedback towards improving the quality of service delivery and define strategies towards driving a unique value proposition and enhanced stakeholder experience
• Continued focus and inclination towards learning & up-skilling on the subject, enhancing the quotient of domain knowledge and expertise covering Credit Risk, Capital Reporting, Capital KPIs, Regulatory Reporting, Operational Risk, BASEL norms, BCBS 239 requirements including a deep domain understanding of Basel IV, and other related regulations impacting Capital ratios and their calculations

Risk Management
• The ability to interpret the Group or country capital reporting information, identify key issues or potential Risks based on the information and put in place appropriate controls and measures towards Risk Mitigation and remediation

• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group or country arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group or country operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate

Qualifications
• Finance Professionals (MBA Finance or ). Risk Management or related Professional certification will be an added advantage
• 7-12 years of post-qualification experience in Credit Risk, Financial Reporting or Regulatory Reporting or Risk Reporting
• Good understanding of banking products / Operations, and specific domain skills on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) Analysis & Reporting, Basel III Reporting/Regulatory Reporting, Credit Risk Analytics, Liquidity Management or Reporting would be an added advantage
• Experience in the banking domain with a good understanding of the risk and regulatory requirements (BASEL, PRA) specifically in relation to Capital and RWA
• Domain skills on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) Analysis & Reporting, Basel III Reporting/Regulatory Reporting, Credit Risk Analytics, Capital reporting is desirable
• Risk Management or any other related Professional certification will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical, execution, result-orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to deliver under pressure, in a complex, demanding and matrixed environment
