We are currently seeking an ambitious Senior Test Analyst to join our TA Digital Test Team within Product Delivery Change.
The role will work with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for test preparation and execution activities on the TA Digital Platforms. These activities will support both enhancements to the Digital Platforms and Product testing to support other TA Projects. The Senior Test Analyst will also contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes within the wider TA Test Team to ensure the most effective methodologies, tools and techniques are employed.
The Senior Test Analyst will support the Digital Test Manager and collaborate with both technical and business teams to deliver Digital enhancements. This will include representing the Digital Test Team in meetings and providing absence cover for the Digital Test Manager, with the opportunity to develop and grow test management skills and experience.
What you’ll do:
Detailed responsibilities as follows:
• Create test scripts for Digital Projects and enhancements and actively contribute to developing reusable regression packs
• Execute testing for Digital Projects and enhancements, gather test evidence and support the Digital Test Manager in managing defects
• Collaborate with both internal technical teams and third party development teams to deliver changes to Digital platforms
• Assist the Digital Test Manager to provide test support to business teams undertaking UAT and MOT activities; creating user profiles, triaging defects, creating test packs, training business teams on new/updated functionality
• Participate in the development of creating test standards for documentation, processes and procedures and ensure adherence to these standards
• Contribute to the creation and promotion of reusable automated regression packs
• Provide absence cover for the Digital Test Manager; represent the Digital Test Team in meetings, chair UAT calls with internal and third party teams, create and distribute test progress and completion documentation
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
• A high quality degree level education in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields – highly desirable
• Good knowledge of testing lifecycle
• Understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to find logical solutions to problems
• Understanding of databases and experience in running/editing/creating SQL scripts for testing purposes - desirable
• Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and work with minimal direction
• Experience of functional, integration, UAT and MOT testing
• Track record working within a variety of testing methodologies i.e. Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall
• Understanding of functional test automation and collaboration tools JIRA and Confluence - desirable
• Able to demonstrate capability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and a globally dispersed team
• Knowledge of Investment Banking I.e. Middle Office/Fund Accounting/Transfer Agency/Custody
• Technical certifications and recommendations in respective specialties (Preferred)
Candidates are expected to have:
• Strong operational experience and understanding of Funds industry
• Sound understanding of Fund Accounting services
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with a comprehensive understanding of content and context.
• Experience of dealing directly with Clients and other Third Parties.
• Ability to organise own workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities.
• Strong problem solving skills and able to perform under pressure
• Ability to apply knowledge transfer to new/different activities
• Displays good negotiation and influencing skills and can use these skills appropriately
• Ability to take decisions within the scope of responsibility (Courageous integrity / Connected and collaborated approach in gathering information to make decision
What additional skills will be good to have?
• Interest in developing a career within the Testing discipline
• Commitment to developing and promoting best practice within the TA Test Team
• Displays good presentation skills and can tailor communication methods for the audience, environment and setting.
