WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The AVP, Software Engineer role is responsible for leading and contributing to the various Engineering projects that Revantage executes for internal users as well as for the different Portfolio Companies and Blackstone. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern software solutions that lean on data to drive business insights and support critical decisions in our businesses. We’re looking for a seasoned Software Engineer who has experience developing event-driven, serverless, microservice-based, and scalable solutions in the cloud. Ideal candidates are naturally curious, constantly looking out for and eliminating edge cases, and recognize the value of automation and test development early in the development process.
This position will be based at Revantage’s office in Dallas, TX.
Requirements
How You Add Value
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software engineering
• Significant experience developing applications in Python or .NET
• Significant experience in building cloud-based solutions (Azure or AWS)
• Experience building serverless (FaaS) workloads on Azure or AWS
• Solid understanding of event-based and containerized workloads
• Understanding of application logging and monitoring services and patterns
• Experience developing, hosting and supporting REST APIs
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and test-driven development
• Previous experience mentoring and influencing technical professionals
• Ability to travel 10% in the US
