Job Description
We are seeking a Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role involves deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure resources while ensuring their security, performance, and compliance. The engineer collaborates with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior engineers to provide exceptional support for our managed services client portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of Azure resources, including virtual machines, databases, and Azure App Services following best practices and client requirements.
• Utilize Azure Migrate to assist with migration projects.
• Monitor the performance, security, and availability of Azure services and promptly address any issues or outages.
• Perform server updates and apply security patches.
• Identify future engagement opportunities during existing client engagements and convey those needs to account executives and practice leadership.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• After hours / weekend work may be a required.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications in Information Technology, or a related field are a plus.
• Accountability to drive resolution to completion.
• Familiarity with the Azure Portal.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common problems efficiently.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell / Azure CLI) to automate tasks, deploy resources, and manage Azure infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Two or more years in IT or working with cloud technology.
• Experience working for an MSP.
• Ability to identify and resolve common Azure-related issues, including network configurations, security settings, and performance optimization.
• Create detailed documentation for configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions.
