B Tech BE - Industrial Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, design modifications, and manufacturing methods.
• Workflow Analysis: Analyze and design workflows and production processes to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
• Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings by optimizing resource utilization and process improvements.
• Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance productivity and quality.
• Capacity Planning: Plan and forecast production capacity to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and meet demand.
• Quality Control: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Workplace Safety: Design processes and layouts that enhance workplace safety and ergonomics.
• Project Management: Manage projects related to process improvements, equipment installations, and technology upgrades.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to streamline operations and improve delivery timelines.
• Data Analysis: Use data-driven approaches, including time studies, simulations, and statistical analysis, to support process improvements and decision-making.
• Automation Integration: Evaluate and recommend automation tools and technologies to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree (B.Tech/BE) in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
• Good understanding of production planning, supply chain management, and inventory control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in automation technologies.
• Knowledge of simulation software like Arena or AnyLogic.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
