Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia conducts airborne special missions on behalf of the Australian Government.
We conduct aerial border surveillance and search-and-rescue operations spanning the country?s exclusive economic zone and SAR region. We have operating bases in Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and the Indian Ocean Territories. South Australia is home to our 24/7 operations control centre and support functions.
Our fixed wing border surveillance operations represent the World?s largest outsourced civil maritime surveillance operation, patrolling Australia?s 8.2 million square kilometre Exclusive Economic Zone.
We provide fixed wing search-and-rescue response capability over land and sea on behalf of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), covering Australia?s SAR region which is approximately 10% of the earth?s surface.
This role joins the Darwin engineering team as a B1 LAME reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance,
