Responsibilities
Business Development:
Research and identify potential clients within the snack food and food manufacturing industries.
Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, market research, and attending industry events.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs and pain points to offer tailored solutions.
Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at target companies.
Understand clients' long-term objectives and provide ongoing support to meet their business requirements.
Regularly engage with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals.
Collaborate with the sales team and management to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, negotiating terms and closing deals.
Work with the sales support team to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and progress towards targets.
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; additional certifications are a plus.
• Proven track record of successful B2B sales and business development, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong network and existing contacts within the snack food and food manufacturing sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated experience in presenting to and negotiating with key decision-makers.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for lead tracking and management
