Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Mindway is an Australian Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and workplace wellbeing platform. We help businesses support their people through fast access to counselling, leadership training, and proactive wellbeing tools.
We work with small to mid-sized businesses across Australia and are growing quickly. This role is a key part of that growth.
The Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your job is to:
Start conversations. Qualify opportunities. Book high-quality meetings.
You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients who have shown interest through Google Ads, LinkedIn campaigns, referrals, and inbound enquiries.
This is a phone-heavy role. You will hear “no” a lot. That’s normal — and we’ll train and support you through it.
What You’ll Be Doing
Calling warm inbound leads (Google, Bing, LinkedIn, website enquiries)
Qualifying businesses based on size, need, urgency, and fit
Booking discovery calls for the Founder / Sales Lead
Following up leads via phone, email, and LinkedIn
Updating CRM notes accurately after each interaction
Handling basic objections and educating prospects on EAP value
Hitting weekly activity and meeting-booked targets
What Success Looks Like
30–40 calls per day with hot and warm leads
10–15 quality conversations per day
8–12 qualified meetings booked per week
Consistent improvement in call quality and conversion rates
Growing to be a closer over the phone and through video calls
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need sales experience. You do need:
Confidence speaking with business owners and managers
Resilience — rejection won’t knock you off your game
Strong communication and listening skills
Curiosity about people, business, and wellbeing
Coachability — you’ll receive regular feedback
Reliability and strong work ethic
Retail, hospitality, customer service, or leadership experience is highly regarded.
