Brief
As the Designer, you will be responsible for researching inspiration, developing new apparel design concepts for baby and toddler programs, sketching ideas, creating technical packages, and overseeing samples.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Develop mood boards for seasonal design presentation
Researching seasonal trends in baby and kids wear, in terms of silhouettes, fabrics, prints and colors
Creating seamless patterns and artwork using Photoshop, Illustrator
Build initial garment specifications
Translating design concepts and creating flats accordingly
Support merchandising and new product development
To lead in all aspects. of concept, development and finalisation within the design process
Prepare detailed fit comments throughout development process and graded specs for production
Sketching proposals for new designs and having basic graphic design skills to put together presentations and textile prints.
To keep highly organised records of design communication and approval standards
Multitasking on various seasons.
Researching design inspiration, trends and styling details for product development
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years experience in a similar position
Degree in design or similar from a reputed institute
Proficient in using Illustrator & Photoshop
Detail oriented
Ability to work cross functionally between merchandising, packaging and design
Excellent follow up and communication skills.
Candidate with a degree in Fashion or equivalent from a reputed institute will be preferred
Candidate with the experience in the kids and baby wear designing will be preferred
