We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the backend of the custom solutions. You will be responsible for designing scalable and robust solutions, ensuring code quality through rigorous reviews, and managing deployment processes. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Key Responsibilities:
• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for backend applications.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with product owners, architects, testers, and front-end developers to design comprehensive backend solutions that meet business requirements.
• Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to other developers.
• Deployment Management: Manage the deployment processes for applications, ensuring smooth and error-free releases to production environments.
• API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs that are secure, scalable, and easy to maintain.
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write complex queries, and manage database performance.
• Version Control: Utilize Git for version control, ensuring clear and organized code management across the development team.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the production environment. Work proactively to ensure system stability and performance.
• Documentation: Write and maintain clear, concise documentation for the codebase, APIs, and solution designs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously improve the development process and contribute to the overall technical direction of the company.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Node.js and its frameworks like Express or Koa.
• Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL OR MongoDB).
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
