Job Description: Adobe Experience Manager Backend Developer

The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Backend Developer will focus on our Lines of Business digital products (websites and mobile apps) built on the Adobe Platform and related technologies like Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target along with cross-platform tool integrations supporting marketing, advertising, and communications channels to deliver premium web experiences to our customers.
The position will reside in Bangalore with the opportunity for a hybrid working model (twice a week from Bangalore office).

Responsibilities
• Develop Digital Consumer experiences using Adobe’s AEM product suite, including AEM Sites, AEM Assets, DAM and Workflows
• Design efficient content models, security models, workflows, and templates
• Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components, and services, AEM launches, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications and the AEM DAM
• Develop powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication, multi-lingual support, automated workflow management, social media etc.
• Create AEM components and page templates, combining backend Java, HTML/CSS, and frontend JavaScript frameworks technologies
• Work with architects to ensure that scalable AEM solutions are created, alongside equally talented CMS engineers
• Apply deep understanding of AEM and other Adobe solutions like Launch, Analytics and Target to make appropriate technical decisions
• Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation.
• Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and appropriate design patterns are used.
• Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyse development requirements, provide work breakdown and estimates of work
• Own and support feature-focused unit and system testing, including features built by other developers on the team, to ensure each project delivers a high-quality application
• Performs unit testing, implementation, and production application support
• Participates in troubleshooting problems related to webpage performance & mobile web optimization
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field
• One or more years of experience implementing applications built on AEM 6.4, 6.5
• Proficient in AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as OSGI, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, a solid understanding of all the related building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., alongwith AEM development and deployment process.
• Good understanding of AEM WCM capabilities including multi-site manager and blueprints-livecopies, language-copies etc.
• Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with a strong understanding of enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring.
• Familiar with Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools, GIT/SVN or similar source code management systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
Preferred:
• Experience working with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3 and related technologies is a plus
• Experience integrating AEM Cloud Services is a plus (Target, Analytics, Translation Connectors...)
• Use of online marketing components such as advanced targeting/personalization, and multi-variate testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA etc
