You'll work on the cloud back-end systems and applications that help thousands of our robots and users in over 28+ countries communicate in real-time, making a difference in people's lives
What you will do â— Lead the design and development of high-performance back-end systems using Spring Boot, Java, Golang, and AWS Services and push the boundaries of what's possible
• Write clean, efficient, easy-to-understand, scalable, and secure code and Back-End services that powers our globally-spanning fleet of robots and makes them smarter, faster, and more efficient than ever before
• Solve complex and challenging software problems that keep our robots running like clockwork
• Build fast and efficient APIs that deliver seamless performance and the best user experience â— Work closely with DevOps, QA and Front-end teams to deliver world-class products
• Embrace the agile methodology and execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC) with speed and precisionChampion secure software development practices to promote security and data protection â— Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Autonomy, Mechanical, Designers, Robot Support Team and Data Analytics to create innovative solutions that make our robots the best in the world
• Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management
• Drive the adoption of best practices, processes, and tools to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members, and help foster a culture of excellence and innovation
● Provide project management and technical leadership to junior and mid-level software engineers â— Constantly explore and experiment with new back-end technologies and frameworks to stay ahead of the curve and ensure our robots are the coolest robots out there
What you will need
• 5+ years of experience in back-end development
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Java and AWS Services
• Familiarity and experience with Golang is a plus
• Experience in designing and implementing Microservices-based, Event-driven, Serverless, Caching, High availability, Fault tolerance, Distributed architectures and technologies
• Mastery of PostgreSQL or other database technologies
• Experience in designing and implementing real-time communications such as WebSockets or WebRTC
• Strong Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes â— Proficiency and experience in AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and IoT Core
• Experience and familiarity with messaging brokers such as MQTT, Kafka, Redis and RabbitMQ â— Exceptional communication and critical-thinking skills â— Knowledge of Git, Postman, GraphQL, Swagger
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
● Familiarity with industry best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, security and documentation
