Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our SaaS software solution. As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing the server-side logic, APIs, and integrations necessary to create a robust and scalable SaaS platform. You will work with technologies such as Node.js, Python, RESTful APIs, ChatGPT, Postman, Socket, Firebase, and AWS Amplify.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop backend architecture:
Architect and develop the server-side infrastructure and APIs required for our SaaS software.
Utilize Node.js and/or Python to implement scalable, efficient, and reliable backend solutions.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end systems and external services.
2. API integration and third-party services:
Integrate with external APIs and third-party services to enable key functionality and enhance the SaaS platform's capabilities.
Collaborate with other teams, such as frontend developers and product managers, to ensure smooth integration and efficient data flow.
Implement AI-driven features:
Integrate ChatGPT or similar natural language processing APIs to enable AI-driven functionalities within the SaaS software.
Leverage AI technologies to enhance user experiences, automate tasks, and provide intelligent insights.
Testing and debugging:
Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance.
Use tools like Postman for API testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Real-time communication and event-driven systems:
Implement real-time communication using technologies like Socket.io to enable seamless collaboration and notifications within the SaaS platform.
Design and develop event-driven systems to handle asynchronous processes and real-time updates.
Cloud platform integration:
Integrate with cloud platforms, such as Firebase and AWS Amplify, for scalable backend infrastructure, data storage, and authentication services.
Leverage cloud services to optimize performance, security, and scalability.
Performance optimization and monitoring:
Identify and optimize bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.
Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in backend development:
Solid experience with Node.js and/or Python for building scalable backend systems.
Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
API integration and third-party services:
Experience integrating with external APIs and working with third-party services to enable additional functionality.
AI-driven features and natural language processing:
Familiarity with integrating AI models and APIs, such as ChatGPT or similar natural language processing services.
Experience with testing and debugging:
Proficiency in writing unit tests and using tools like Postman for API testing and debugging.
Real-time communication and event-driven systems:
Understanding of real-time communication technologies like Socket.io and event-driven architectures.
Cloud platform integration
Experience integrating with cloud platforms like Firebase and AWS Amplify for backend infrastructure and services.
Performance optimization and monitoring
Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to optimize backend systems for performance and implement monitoring solutions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with serverless architecture and services, such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions.
Knowledge of database systems like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Understanding of frontend development principles and frameworks to facilitate efficient collaboration with frontend developers.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like Jira or Agile/Scrum.
