Thoughtworks is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, scalable, and performant software systems. You will be working with a team of developers, architects, and project managers to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement microservices-based architectures using Kafka as a message broker.
• Design and implement data models for NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Follow Clean Coding practices and Test Driven Development (TDD) approach.
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, and project managers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that coding standards and best practices are followed.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with Java 8 or above.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures and Kafka as a message broker.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Understanding of Clean Coding practices and Test Driven Development (TDD) approach.
• Good to have (not mandatory) Financial/Lending domain exposure.
• Any exposure on cloud platform would be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
