Job Summary:
Leapswitch Networks is looking for a backend developer with strong PHP fundamentals to join our growing in-house development
team. You will contribute to building and maintaining robust web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
â— Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code in PHP
â— Work with MVC frameworks (Laravel/CakePHP preferred)
â— Build and maintain RESTful APIs
â— Collaborate with front-end developers and testers for smooth integration
â— Optimize performance and scalability of applications
â— Manage code versioning using Git
â— Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging
Required Skills:
â— Strong grasp of core PHP concepts and OOP principles
â— Familiarity with Laravel or CakePHP (either one is sufficient)
â— Understanding of relational databases (MySQL)
â— Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods
â— Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
â— Ability to write clean, maintainable code following DRY principles and coding best practices
â— Basic knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, sufficient for integrating backend
with UI (design expertise not required)
â— Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
â— Knowledge of CLI, cron jobs, and API authentication methods
â— Familiarity with Docker, Postman, Composer
