Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Design and manage databases using MySQL and MongoDB.
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
• Create and execute unit and integration test cases.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with team members through pull requests and code reviews.
• Track and manage tasks using Jira.
• Work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
• Experience with MySQL and MongoDB databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of test case creation and execution.
• Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with frontend developers.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Additional Skills Will Be An Added Advantage
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
