Job Description
This position involves teaching a range of core high school mathematics courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Statistics, while supporting student achievement and college readiness through rigorous and engaging instruction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Florida Department of Education Certification in Mathematics 6–12
(Temporary, Professional, or Statement of Eligibility accepted)
Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in high school mathematics
Teach a variety of math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Statistics
Develop and implement lesson plans that promote mastery and student achievement
Support students in building strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators
Collaborate with the Math Department and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices
