The Role: Backend Software Engineer
The Location: Bengaluru/Bangalore
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work as part of an agile development team to design, estimate, develop and implement software solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
• Establish testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested throughout development and before release.
• Collaborate with other developers, as necessary, to resolve different tasks.
• Work independently.
• Monitor and report to management on project status; identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend, and implement corrective measures.
• Continuously learn and expand knowledge in area of specialization.
Education/Experience:
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Software engineer or Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience with focus on processing data, performing data manipulation and operating on records
• Serve as the go to resource for Front End Development using Angular with AWS serverless services including Lambda
• Test Frameworks: JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber
• Develop Frameworks: Eclipse, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with relational databases. PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with JSON and RESTful Web Services is a plus
• Experience working with large data sets and databases is a plus.
• Experience with Agile development is a must have.
• Capable of performing tasks in a dynamic/changing environment
• Experience in the automotive domain is a plus.
Must have - Experience working with object oriented programming language like Python, Java (willingness to adapt to python). Also - SQL, relational/non-relational database and Git experiences with exposure to Agile Frameworks are desired.
Good to have - AWS experience with exposure to S3, Batch and other services (willing to learn new tech quickly), Terraform, CI/CD experience using gitlab/jenkins or similar tools, Devops experience
Organizational Relationships:
• Reports directly to development management.
• Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities.
• Participates in meetings with internal stakeholders to assess business need
