We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and desserts
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules
Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality
Ensure all products meet presentation and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen/bakery area
Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
Assist with stock control, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements & Skills
Proven experience as a Baker or similar role
Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required
Good physical stamina (standing for long periods, lifting ingredients)
Understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
Qualifications
Certificate III in Baking (preferred but not essential)
Food Safety Certificate (desirable)
Personal Attributes
Passion for baking and food production
Reliable and punctual
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $33.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
Work Location: In person
