Senior Staff Nurse - Children's Emergency Department
Seeking a registered childrens nurse with experience working in a paediatric emergency department to enhance their skills as a band 6 at LGT.
The ideal candidate will have experience in triage, plaster of paris, venepuncture and cannulation, EPLS/APLS, and other relevant areas.
Main Duties
Responsibilities include taking charge in the busy Paediatric Emergency Department on a shift, working long days and nights.
As a registered children's nurse, the post holder will provide leadership in the delivery of care to children, young people, and their families in the emergency department setting.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical duties include:
Providing expert specialist nursing care and support for children, young people, and their relatives/carers.
Delegating duties to other staff members for effective patient care delivery.
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care from admission to discharge.
Supervising juniors in the assessment and delivery of care.
Maintaining effective communication channels with patients, relatives, and all staff involved in providing care.
Providing and receiving nursing handover reports.
Acting as a paediatric nurse in charge, coordinating care delivery to children and young people.
Person Specification
RN Child branch/RSCN qualification
Diploma or Degree in Nursing
Experience/Education
Significant experience in an Emergency department environment
Experience in audits
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Triage and assessment skills
Plaster of Paris application
Venepuncture and cannulation techniques
EPLS/APLS knowledge
ED/HDU course completion
Practice Assessor qualification
Salary
£37,338 to £44,+62 per annum plus HCAS (pro rata for part-time)
