Department : Information TechnologyIndustry : BankingJob Location : Kolkata, IndiaJob Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle/MS SQL Developer with hands-on experience in handling huge datasets for at least 7 years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, specifically with MS SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL databases, and expertise in data analysis and implementation. Proficiency in SSIS ETL development is essential, and familiarity with BigData technologies and BI tools such as PowerBI/Tableau is highly desirable. As a Senior Oracle/MS SQL Developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal department stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and delivering efficient and robust database solutions.Responsibilities : Interact with internal department stakeholders on a regular basis to understand business requirements.Create and maintain a development queue and effectively communicate progress to all stakeholders.Develop SQL logic, stored procedures, functions, and views based on business requirements.Translate user requirements into logical statements and develop variables, calculated fields, parameters, sets, and groups.Monitor server logs, troubleshoot data loading issues, and resolve job execution bugs.Provide estimates of effort required for the development of user requirements.Establish data loading and extraction processes using SSIS ETL tool.Utilize SSRS to deliver IT data reports and provide visualizations to end users.Develop SQL logic to derive dashboards of key performance indicators (KPIs).Prepare technical documentation for the department using Office applications.Technical Requirements : Strong understanding of databases, specifically MS SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL.Robust knowledge of database functionalities and best practices.Proficiency in writing logical blocks and generating business data using MS SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL.Extensive experience in implementing and developing ETL pipelines, Data Warehouses, or data flow techniques using SSIS technology.Familiarity with reporting technologies such as SSRS, PowerBI, or Tableau is preferred.Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's degree in or related field.Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in database development.At least 6 months of experience specifically in SSIS ETL development.Employment Type : Full-timeIndustry : Banking (ref: hirist.com
