Job Description
The successful candidate will work with specific children and families in the home, clinic setting or school/nursery, according to their individual care plan as agreed with the Health Visitor.
Key responsibilities include planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion activities, providing advice on positive parenting skills, and ensuring that advice is evidence-based to facilitate school readiness.
Main Duties:
Advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills, including understanding and managing child behaviour, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training.
Work with children and families in accordance with their individual care plan, conducting activities of the Healthy Child Programme as delegated by the Health Visitor.

Person Specification:
Experience of working with children and families in a formal health, educational or social care setting.
Evidence of ongoing training in Early Years.
Experience of working as a team member and on own initiative.
BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
