£12.48 per hour
Flexible zero-hours contract
Paid PVG, pension, free uniform, and onsite parking
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time equivalent)
What You Will Do
As Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving well-balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents. You will contribute to menu planning alongside the Head Chef, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create varied and appealing dishes. You will take ownership of the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared safely and hygienically, and that kitchen cleanliness is maintained to the highest standards. You will manage stock control, record food temperatures, and ensure proper storage and rotation of supplies. Above all, you will help create a positive dining experience that brings comfort, enjoyment, and nourishment to those in our care.
What We Are Looking For
City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent (or working towards)
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high standards
Previous experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential
