Job Description
Personal Care: Assisting patients with washing, dressing, toileting, and other personal hygiene tasks.
Mobility Assistance: Helping patients to move around, transfer from bed to chair, and use mobility aids.
Feeding and Nutrition: Supporting patients with meals, ensuring they eat and drink adequately.
Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment: Making beds, tidying rooms, and ensuring equipment is clean and safe for use.
Emotional Support: Providing comfort, reassurance, and companionship to patients.
Communication: Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Administrative Tasks: Assisting with basic record-keeping, collecting specimens, and preparing equipment for procedures.
Other Duties: Depending on the setting, HCAs may also be involved in wound care, medication administration (under supervision), and other clinical tasks.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
