Job Description
We are looking for a flexible, hardworking and committed Healthcare Assistant to join our enthusiastic team, which care for a variety of patients of all ages. Every day will provide new and exciting challenges for staff. The position requires individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work under pressure, whilst delivering a high standard of care to our patients., To provide general practice Healthcare assistant procedures within agreed protocols and guidelines to patients independently or in participation with colleagues and general practitioners namely NHS Healthchecks.
Provide high quality and skilled care to patients in clinic
Ensure safe handling of patient samples and sharps in line with BGPA policy
Assist with the ordering of supplies to keep the clinics well stocked
To deliver NHS Health Checks to Bromley patients.
To have a clear understanding of the principals of NHS Health Checks and an ability to convey the nature, risks and benefits associated with a NHS Health Checks to patients.
To perform point of care testing and record routine clinical measurements, using appropriate tools and methodologies to measure individuals physical indicators of risk of cardiovascular disease in accordance with the approved protocols to ensure performance and quality.
To be competent in how to assess someones cardiovascular risk, interpret these results and communicate them effectively to the client.
To respect the individuality, values, dignity and diversity of individuals and contribute to the provision of a service sensitive to the needs and rights of people in the community
To exercise good personal time management, punctuality and consistent reliable attendance.
The successful candidate will essentially be tidy, punctual and well organised, able to demonstrate initiative and have a caring attitude.
