KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide a professional, safe and efficient assessment, vaccination and immunisation service to our clients which meets our contractual obligations in respect of health clearance which includes:

Taking and logging a clinical history related to vaccination and immunisations

Taking of bloods and correctly recording, storing and dispatching

Giving vaccinations and setting out next steps to recipients

Providing clinical information regarding vaccination and immunisations to students / staff

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

Registered Nurse on the NMC register - essential

Specialist Qualification in Occupation Health - desirable

Experience

Delivering immunisations and taking bloods in a clinic setting - essential

Using IT systems to record clinical data quickly and accurately - essential

Large volume clinics - desirable

Working in an Occupational Health Setting - desirable

Knowledge

Current up to date knowledge regarding health screening in relation to immunity and vaccination requirements - essential

Adminstering vaccines in line with written orders - essential

NMC Code requirements - essential

Role and delivery of Occupational Health - Desirable

DoH Green Book – Immunisation Against Infectious Disease requirements - Desirable

Equality Act - Desirable

Delivering safe, effective, quality OHS - SEQOHS - Desirable

Skills

Pay: £23.00-£30.00 per hour
