Bank Mediation Co-ordinator
We have a rewarding opportunity for a Bank Mediation Co-ordinator to be part of our Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Mediation and Disagreement Resolution Service (MDRS) based in central Stockport.
The MDRS are SEND specialists at providing a neutral and impartial SEND mediation service. They provide a high quality and professional service that is responsive, approachable and supportive.

Salary : An hourly rate of £12.67 is applied to this role which is the Real Living Wage.
Hours : This is a casual role and therefore no guarantee of hours
Location : Hybrid working - a combination of working at the Newbridge Centre Office, Cromer Street, Stockport SK1 and home working.
Our Mediation and Disagreement Resolution service supports families or individuals in disagreement of a young person’s education and health care plan in bringing different parties together to work towards a positive outcome.
Together we help build meaningful relationships for the road ahead, with children and young people at the heart.
As a Bank Mediation Co-ordinator you will be the first point of contact for families and young people seeking support from the team. You will provide mediation advice in line with Special Education Needs & Disability legislation and take detailed case notes from families. You will arrange mediation meetings with families, Local Authority's, schools and other professionals.
About you…..
Our ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems including databases and spreadsheets.
Do you have experience of working with families requiring support for their children who have special educational needs along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills?
Are you an effective and supportive team member who works in an organised and methodical manner?
Do you have the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, including other employees within the Together Trust, parents, Local Authorities and other professionals?
We are looking for someone who can identify work priorities and manage their own workload to meet deadlines as well as the ability to show sensitivity in dealing with confidential issues.
