As an Occupational Health Nurse at TAC Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive Occupational Health Nursing service across a variety of client sites. Working in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice (or equivalent), you will contribute to the promotion of employee health, wellbeing, and safety while supporting the Occupational Health team to meet dynamic business needs.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and advisory environments and is passionate about providing a high standard of care in line with current legislation and best practice.

This is a bank/adhoc role, working across client sites in Burnley.

All travel costs/overnight stays are covered by TAC Healthcare.

What You Will Do

Deliver occupational health services including routine and safety-critical medicals, pre-placement medicals, and substance misuse screening

Conduct health surveillance assessments as required

Maintain professional and clinical standards in line with NMC guidance and TAC Healthcare procedures

Ensure accurate and confidential patient records are maintained in accordance with clinical best practice

Support sickness absence management by liaising with HR and HSE teams

Advise clients on health and wellbeing strategies, contributing to the development of internal and client policies

Support the promotion of TAC Healthcare services through professional service delivery and awareness of new company initiatives

Provide case management both face-to-face and remotely

Assist the administrative team with data input and related support tasks as needed

Travel to client sites to deliver services where required

About You

You are a qualified and registered nurse with the NMC, bringing at least two years of experience in Occupational Health—ideally within sectors such as Oil and Gas, construction, local authorities, or manufacturing. You’re adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Skills & Experience:

NMC registration as a Registered Nurse

Minimum of 2 years’ Occupational Health experience

Proven case management capability both face to face and remotely.

Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism

Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Office

Committed to ongoing professional development

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

NMC registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (OH) or a relevant Occupational Health qualification (Cert/Diploma/Degree)

Experience with clinical case management

Travel Health qualification or equivalent training
