At Spire Healthcare, Cardiff is looking for an experienced MRI‑focused Specialist Radiographer to join our bank team, supporting our imaging service with the flexibility to work across MRI as the core modality, with General X‑ray and Ultrasound cover as required.

The Role
In this role, MRI will be your primary clinical focus, with the opportunity to support General X‑ray and Ultrasound services to ensure service continuity and a seamless patient journey. Cross‑sectional working is important, offering variety while maintaining a strong MRI‑led workload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver high‑quality MRI services in line with clinical protocols, safety standards and best practice
Provide cross‑cover in General X‑ray and Ultrasound when required to support service demand
Produce accurate, high‑quality diagnostic images to support timely clinical decision‑making
Deliver a professional, compassionate and reassuring experience for every patient
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with IR(ME)R , MRI safety and governance standards
Work collaboratively with consultants, clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team
Who we are Looking For:
HCPC‑registered Radiographer with no restrictions
Confident working independently in MRI, with the ability to cover X‑ray and/or Ultrasound when required
A flexible and adaptable team player who values cross‑sectional working
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on patient care and comfort
A commitment to high clinical standards and ongoing professional development
A compassionate, patient‑centred professional with strong communication skills
A passion for clinical quality and ongoing professional development
Contract: Bank
Working Hours: Shifts between 08:00 – 20:30, including participation in the general on-call rota
