Old Vicarage Bristol is looking to recruit a bank support worker to join the team.
The Old Vicarage is located in Bristol. Our home provides residential support for nine adults. This includes people who are on the autism spectrum, or have a learning disability or mental health needs.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a support worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
To undertake key working responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed

What you'll bring to the role

An NVQ2 in Health & Social Care, a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognized qualification is required, along with GCSEs or NVQ2 qualifications in English and Maths. While it is not expected that all new recruits will have already attained the NVQ2 qualification, they must begin the qualification process within six months of joining and complete it within a specified timeframe. Additionally, experience working in a related environment is desirable.
