Job description, work day and responsibilities

Main Responsibilities
Answer all internal and external calls into the Hospital.
Have the ability to judge urgency of queries through in-depth questioning to determine the most appropriate member of staff to deal with the call.
Have effective use of the IT switchboard system and the ability to use System one to input data and confidential information.
Use Microsoft Teams to store information and update systems.
Respond to District Nurse calls for the local area and to contact the relevant nurse.
Book transport for Bloods and specimens.
Provide admin support to the service and manager.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

The ability to work as a team.
The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.
Flexibility to work public holidays, lates, nights and at the weekend.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
