We are looking for a Banking Analyst to join our growing Finance team in Peterborough.
As a Banking Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing banking operations and performing crucial analysis and reporting tasks. You’ll collaborate closely with our Treasury Team Lead, contributing to monthly and annual reporting requirements, and supporting day-to-day banking activities.
Our Team
The Treasury team is made up of a Treasury Team Lead and two Treasury Analysts. They report to the Financial Accounting Manager and the whole Accounting and Treasury Team sits within the Bauer Finance Hub. The overall Accounting & Treasury Department right now includes roughly 30 employees, divided into 3 teams.
This is a hybrid position you will be working from home and our office location in Peterborough.
What will you be doing
• Managing banking relationships and coordinating with Group Treasury and Bauer Finance Hub.
• Supporting daily cash management and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with cashflow budgets, forecasts, and foreign exchange management.
• Preparing PCI compliance returns and supporting business transactions related to acquisitions and disposals.
• Assisting in interim and annual external audits.
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and optimising workload.
• Providing support on various tasks and cover team members during absences
What will you bring
• Proven experience of working in a Finance function and understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentially
• Knowledge of accounting, through studying for an accounting qualification, such as AAT or through experience
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a Treasury/Finance team desirable
• S/4 Hana experience
