Banking Compliance Analyst

A Compliance Analyst monitors customer accounts and researches alerts to identify suspicious activity violating current regulations defined in various laws, policies, and procedures. No prior banking/ compliance knowledge required. Training will be provided. Job start date: 10-Apr-2026 (Immediate) Job description Automated alerts are generated whenever the system detects suspicious activity. Compliance analyst will pick up the alert, research for the reasons provided, and use judgment to pass/ fail the alert. The job is like checking whether the system accurately marked the activity as suspicious or not. A simple example - bank's customer is Rahul Verma who is 50 years old and resides in USA. The bank systems picked up this customer because the name resembles Rahool Vermon (who is a bad actor, 25 years old, and resides in Colombia). Compliance analyst's job is to investigate this alert and determine whether Rahul Verma and Rahool Vermon are the same person or not. Bad actors are a list of people that the bank does not want to do business with - sometimes because of legal reasons and sometimes because of policy reasons. An example of a legal reason can be Sanctions - US Government imposed sanctions against a particular country and now people from that country cannot open a bank account in the US. Policy reasons can be that the bank does not want to do business with people from a particular industry. Top skills 1. You need to have excellent written communication skills 2. Commitment to work US hours (Monday to Friday +am – 5pm EST) 3. Good analytical/ logical skills 4. Willingness to learn new things by putting extra effort 5.
