Our client, a prestigious financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team in **Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK**. This pivotal role will involve in-depth financial modeling, strategic planning, and providing critical insights to support key business decisions within the investment banking division. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex datasets, performing variance analysis, and developing comprehensive financial reports.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Conduct thorough analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments to gather data and ensure accuracy of financial projections. Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and deal valuation. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic recommendations. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or CFA charter is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within investment banking or corporate finance. Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills are essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar financial data platforms is desirable.
