Department purpose
This Senior Associate role will be within the Finance department working with Partner Peter Wilkes on the Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) team. Peter has extensive experience on the finance and development of mining, energy, energy transition, natural resources and infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle.
The department acts for project proponents, sponsors, private capital, banks and ECAs on pre-BFS and project financing, acquisition and leverage finance, syndicated bank facilities, convertible note and hybrid funding arrangements and energy and resource related structured finance including royalty, streaming and prepaid commodity financing.
Peter and his team have acted for Australian companies undertaking debt capital market issues, including convertible bonds, 144A note issues and loan notes issued to the private placement market in the United States and the Nordic bond market. The department also advises in relation to project structuring, joint ventures, project development and offtake arrangements.
Role purpose
We are looking for an Australian qualified Lawyer with 1 -3 years of Senior Associate experience on a full-time permanent basis. We offer:

Key requirements
1 – 3 years as a Senior Associate
Training from a top tier law firm with previous experience in Finance/Banking and/or Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure matters.
Outstanding academic credentials.
High level drafting and analytic skills.
Resilient self-starter with the intellectual curiosity and versatility to continuously acquire, build upon and share knowledge.
Highly motivated team player with excellent organisational skills.
Clear and concise communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills and a good eye for detail.
Entrepreneurial drive and strong commercial acumen.
A person of sound judgement and core values, able to establish a high level of credibility.
