Job Overview:
This is a temporary summer role starting from May 2026 to September 2026. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef & Kitchen Manager, the Banquet Cook plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by preparing high-quality food for banquet events, setting up and breaking down food stations, and supporting the kitchen team in executing large-scale meal service.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food according to banquet event orders, recipes, and quality standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation for events.
Set up, maintain, and break down banquet stations as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations before, during, and after service.
Assist in opening and closing duties of the kitchen as scheduled.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Executive Chef.
Adapt to last-minute changes in event requirements or service flow.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience in a banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen environment.
Valid Food Handler Certification required.
Strong understanding of banquet service logistics, large-batch cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
