Job Description

The MacEwan Conference and Event Centre is a Students’ Union business located in the heart of the University of Calgary campus. With a dedicated events team and professional culinary staff, we are one of Calgary’s leading event facilities.

We are hiring 10–15 part-time Event Staff at $17.00/hour to support events held in Mac Hall and across campus. Flexible hours. Morning and daytime availability preferred. Shifts also include afternoons, evenings, and nights.

What you’ll do

Set up event rooms with linen, serviceware, décor, tables, staging, pipe and drape, and A/V
Attend pre-event briefings to understand timelines, menus, and special requirements
Deliver food and beverages on schedule under supervisor direction
Maintain clean, safe, and organized event spaces
Reset rooms after events for the next function
Follow Students’ Union and AGLC rules for responsible ******* service
Work closely with supervisors, teammates, Facilities, Security, and clients
You will receive daily direction and work under the supervision of the Manager, Event Supervisors, and Banquet Captain on shift.
