Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Banquet Setup/Server to join our hospitality team. This role involves preparing event spaces, serving guests, and ensuring a seamless dining experience at various events. Ideal candidates will have experience in food service, catering, or the hospitality industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest relations. Previous banquet or restaurant experience is preferred, along with knowledge of food safety and handling procedures. Duties
• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and tableware
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, adhering to food safety standards
• Clear tables and bussing after events to maintain cleanliness and readiness for subsequent functions
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including setting up buffet stations or serving stations
• Support catering operations by assisting with event logistics and guest interactions
• Ensure all food handling complies with health regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
• Prior experience in the food industry, catering, or hospitality preferred; restaurant or hotel experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food service procedures, food safety, and proper handling techniques
• Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required during setup or service
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for events
