Annual Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience

What will I be doing?

• As the Bar Manager, you are responsible for managing the operations within your outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Bar Manager will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage our destination bar-Bow Bar operations

• Lead Executive Lounge operations with Executive Lounge Manager as a direct report.

• Ensure optimal allocation of resources between the departments

• Maintain exceptional levels of customer service

• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner

• Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to COS and Payroll

• Develop menus and overall departmental offering with other members of Food and Beverage team

• Ensure that pricing is market led, relevant and engineered to deliver optimal profit.

• Maintain an awareness of consumer trends and competitor activity to ensure our propositions maintain their relevance.

• Develop short, medium and long term sales, marketing and promotional plans for the Bar

• Promote, establish and maintain a regular customer base and ensure all information is communicated to staff

• Accountable for monthly stock takes

• Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue

• Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures

• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement

• To ensure effective communication by attending meetings as required and holding staff meetings and briefings on a regular basis to impart information

• Ensure that all team members are fully equipped with the tools, skills, behaviours and knowledge required before customer contact

• Responsible for recruitment, team engagement and retention activities within the department

• Conduct and oversee regular performance reviews for all staff, ensuring feedback is fair, detailed constructive and considered and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are agreed

• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

• Be environmentally aware

• Customer Service experience in supervisory or above capacity

• A warm personality, attentive and smartly presentable

• An ability to listen and respond to demanding Guest needs

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

• A medium level of IT proficiency is required
