Job Description
Mon Pitou is hiring a casual part-time Barista/Server to join our team. This position ranges between 12-20 hours per week with mandatory weekend availability.
Shifts are typically 5 hours, with the possibility of extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Closing the store (8 PM), and opening the store (7 AM)
Complete coffee orders throughout the day using a state-of-the-art espresso machine.
Perform table service for dine-in guests during brunch hours
Work independently and oversee the entire storefront.
Sell our retail products, including on Uber and DoorDash.
Package and store away retail meals.
Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon.
Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
Liaise with other peers to help where needed.
Proper cleaning and shut-down of coffee machine.
Stocking/restocking of all in-store products and goods
Organize, wash and maintain dish-ware.
General housekeeping and maintenance.
Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company.
Prevent and minimize waste.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
must have a consistent commitment & availability leading into the Holiday season
Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs. Candidates who have limited availability will not be considered.
Able to finish by 8 pm, or start at 7 am.
2 years of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required.
6 months of serving is an asset
Lightspeed POS experience is a strong asset.
Ability to multitask, and think critically
Proactive and self-motivated
Strong communication and organization skills
Collaborative, honest and dependable
Fluent in English
FoodSafe is a bonus
