Unlike the original, Ovolo South Yarra reveals its charismatic charm and endearing idiosyncrasies upon the first visit. Home to 90 seats and sustainably crafted to be shareable, seasonal, and flavourful, Latin fare and bistro dining collide against the norms of the classical medley you know of vegan and vegetarian dining. From kombucha on tap to Latin-inspired cocktails, the drinks program celebrates the liveliness of La Bamba, pouring liberating libations from garden to glass. Meticulously mixed and creatively crafted using the freshest local and sustainable sourced ingredients, inspired by the lush green gardens and vibrant botanical wonders.
The Gig
We are looking for a experience Bartender to join our incredible Hotel. The spaces are like no other, with a fantastic team to support. This is a team work role that will give room and scope to grow and have significant input into the evolution of our hotel brand in Australia. In this role, you will be assisting the venue manager in running the show! This a Casual role and will require flexibility within availability. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Quickly and efficiently attend to all guest ******* orders
Showcase your talent by performing great cocktail, serving beer, wine, spirits
Perform outstanding teamwork among the barista team, and assist other sections as required
Ensure that the correct amounts and measurements of alcoholic beverages are served to guests in Responsible Service of ******* and all relevant legislation
Serve guests promptly and accurately, according to their order, accommodating any reasonable request, being diligent in relation to allergies/dislikes and noting preferences for future visits
Familiarise yourself with restaurant products and services including full knowledge of menus, wine lists and other beverages
Encourage feedback from our guests, to update and maintain guest history records, enabling us to anticipate the needs of our guests
Demonstrate a good knowledge of the local area and continually update knowledge of the latest trends
About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have 1-2 years' experience at making preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while providing friendly and efficient service in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge & skills of latte-art would be advantageous to the role. On top of this, you will bring your awesome personality which will brighten up anyone's day! You will have great communication skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
