Bartender | Part Time 30 hours | Sherwood Queenstown
Sherwood Queenstown is a sustainably-minded, boutique hotel set on three acres of alpine hillside overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. Blending rustic charm with modern comfort, it offers a unique retreat focused on wellness, creativity, and community. Role Overview
We’re looking for someone who loves great drinks, great food, and great people. At Sherwood, everything we do is rooted in sustainability and genuine hospitality. You’ll be behind a bar that champions local ingredients, seasonal flavours, and a relaxed, creative vibe. If you enjoy connecting with guests, mixing thoughtful drinks, and being part of a small, passionate team—this is your place.
This is a part-time role with a minimum guaranteed hours of 30 per week.
Key Responsibilities
Look after guests with warm, relaxed, attentive service.
Make beautiful cocktails and drinks that reflect Sherwood’s seasonal and sustainable approach.
Keep the bar running smoothly—clean, stocked, organised.
Follow our service and cash handling processes.
Work closely with the restaurant team to deliver seamless service.
Pitch in with opening/closing, restocking, and general service support.
Who We Are Looking For:
Previous bartending experience essential.
Confident behind the bar and keen to keep learning.
Loves local ingredients, good food, and mindful hospitality.
Team player with great communication.
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
Happy to jump in wherever needed.
Open to working holiday candidates.
