1st Cook
Are you a Cook looking for a new endeavor? Bartholomew’s Public House, located at The Double Tree by Hilton in the heart of downtown Victoria is seeking a 1st Cook to join our team. We offer a great work atmosphere that oozes creativity, passion and the flare for excellent customer service. If this is you, please send us your resume.
As a 1st Cook, you would be working on classic selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and traditional menus.
Responsibilities
Professionally prepare and cook menu items to a high standard of quality.
Operate culinary equipment properly and safely.
Follow recipes.
Handle, store, and rotate products properly.
Receive and put away orders.
Opening and closing duties.
Work both as a team and independently.
Maintain kitchen’s high standard of cleanliness.
Follow all health and safety guidelines.
Red Seal Training available.
Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.
Job Requirements
Food Safe Level 1 is required.
Kitchen experience preferred, preferably in a fast-paced, volume-driven establishment.
Enjoy working with a team, but can also work effectively unsupervised.
Excellent communication skills.
Upbeat & positive attitude.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
Reports to: Executive Chef or designate
Wage: $22.50/hour
