Role Summary/Purpose:We are looking for an experienced analytical engineer to support model development and analytics in a hybrid on-prem and public cloud environment.This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Were proud to offer you choice and flexibility.Essential Responsibilities:Develop dashboards. reports, extracts, statistical and non-statistical model, exploratory non-model in Tableau, BO, SAS Grid +.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 or 4.0 environment, Python/PySpark in Anaconda, H2O and the Datalake/Hadoop/ClouderaDevelop code that consumes data from databases and other high volume implementations in Oracle, Exadata, MySQL, Data Lake/Cloudera using Tableau, BO, SAS Grid, SAS VIya or Python/PySpark on Anaconda EnterpriseDevelop Unix/Linux/shell scripts and use Enterprise schedulers such as Autosys, cron, SAS Scheduler, Stonebranch to schedule and maintain jobsUse tools such as Tableau Creator, Business Objects, SAS Studio, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, WRS for development processes on SAS or Anaconda Enterprise/Python/PySpark on Data Lake or EMR Studio/EMR on AWSWork with cloud architects, vendors, model developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to support model development and analytics.Support Synchrony data scientists.Work closely with model developers and other analysts to maintain compliance with Synchronys standards and processes surrounding data usage and provisioning, and model governance.Complete any required documentation related to build and runPerform other duties as required.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelors Degree, or equivalent, in a quantitative field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, etc with minimum 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology or in lieu of degree, 5+ years of exp in Information TechnologyMinimum of 2 years of experience as an analytic engineerMinimum of 2 years experience with public cloud deploymentsMinimum 2 years of experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages.Strong and proven skills working with analysts and data scientists, and hands-on experience in supporting model development and analytics, data analysis, data warehouse and big data concepts, relational and unstructured databasesHands-on experience with technologies such as SAS Studio, SAS Viya, EMR Studio, AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, MLibAWS Certification, eg.
