Job Description
At Pepper Content, we’re building the world’s largest content solutions ecosystem, bringing together the very best professional writers and editors to deliver high-quality content for leading enterprises. We are scaling up our operations rapidly, and the editor will be responsible for maintaining quality standards and growing our content operations for all projects from a set of clients in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industry.
Responsibilities of an Editor
• Edit and proofread two to three documents following the client’s guidelines to the highest standards of quality.
• Provide comprehensive feedback and suggestions to writers with a strong focus on timelines and quality.
• Optimize content by applying the best practices of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
• Ensure the content is plagiarism-free by running it through premium plagiarism detection software
• Identify and flag articles that do not meet Pepper’s quality standards
• Actively engage in quality assurance and performance review processes
Work hours: Flexible during the day
Our Ideal Candidate
• Have an excellent command of the English language and a sharp eye for detail
• At least 2 years’ experience in copy-editing for BFSI organizations. Please DO NOT apply if you don't meet this criteria
• A solid understanding of banking, finance, insurance, and related domains, gained through your education and/or work experience
• Have thorough knowledge of copy editing and proofreading best practices
• Have strong research and organizational skills
• Be able to take up challenging and time-sensitive editorial tasks and deliver the same without compromising on quality
• Be willing to learn independently and improve upon their skills by attending regular training workshops and acting upon feedback
• Be available to work for 5-8 hours a day for 3 to 7 days a week on a contractual basis from any remote location
