Position Purpose
The developer is expected to design, develop & maintain the Business Intelligence solutions deployed across APAC and Global FRESH teams. These cover various databases, ETL, reporting technologies & applications for user interactions.
The team develops and maintains internal bespoke software solutions for various Finance & Risk departments. The team uses off the shelf & agile technologies appropriate to the situation & solution.
Direct Responsibilities
1. Business and System Analysis, Design:
Interact with business, functional and technical representatives of project teams, and various territories, Head office representatives in order to analyse reporting & system requirements.
Design Technical Solution & Data Model
2. Prototyping & Development:
Conceptualize the overall reporting approach & module design
Building proof of concepts & prototypes
Development to specifications
Benchmarking of hardware/software platforms;
3. Maintenance & Support:
Enhance, trouble-shoot, understand & resolve problems related to existing systems
Maximize system uptime and ensure alignment with changing business environment.
Partnership: Involve with the review and submission of all solution designs provided by Vendor or in-house application development teams.
System upkeep: To contribute towards housekeeping, system upgrades, installation, backup/restore & adherence to DR plans, to maintain a robust application system platform at all times.
Documentation: Control and oversee timely preparation, update and upkeep of all documents necessary to be maintained within the solution framework, ensure easy availability of information relating to the solutions and processes.
Training: Train users on system functionality and usage in order to ensure effective utilization of application systems.
Quality, Control, Compliance:
Ensure all activities carried-out and solutions proposed, planned and delivered are compliant with policy guidelines specified by BNPP Paribas group globally.
Establishes regular code reviews tied to on-going components/project development.
Adopt standard development practices, operational controls to build robust, efficient & sustainable solutions.
Contributing Responsibilities
Contribute to overall FRESH responsibilities on efficiency, controls, development of solutions.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory skills
Strong Knowledge on database SQL/PLSQL
Good Knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting,
Knowledge on any of reporting tool- preferably BI4.2/BoxiR2 or any other like Tableau , Power BI, VBA
Good understanding of any Database management system
Knowledge of SQL Loader/ Autosys
Nice to have
Technical skills: Alteryx or python will be added advantage
Business skills: accounting, financial products, reporting
Experience on Atlas / Infocenter
