Melbourne Bicycle Centre Prahran has been a leading retailer in bicycle and accessory sales for over 43 years. Our busy retail store is looking for an experienced Bicycle Builder/Mechanic to join our dynamic team immediately. The successful applicant must display well developed bicycle maintenance skills to build, and repair a wide range of bicycles with confidence. A minimum of 2 years experience is preferable.
We are seeking an experienced Bicycle Builder/Mechanic to join our successful team. This role would suit someone with a passion for bicycles looking for full time, part time or casual work.
Job duties & responsibilities: Assemble bicycles and like products to a high standard, communicate effectively, maintain a tidy work area, operate computer software and retail systems.
Essential skills required: mechanical aptitude, practical skills, dexterity, outstanding customer service, time management, problem solving, and attention to detail. Previous experience in bicycle building is beneficial.
Ability to build, service & repair bicycles
Self motivated. Work independently, and in a team environment, reporting to the Service Manager
Maintain knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Conducted safety testing on brakes and bicycle agility issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Ability to problem solve and meet customers expectations
Deliver outstanding customer service
Flexibility to work weekends
Police Check required
