About the role
We’re looking for a talented Bids and Communications Writer to join our Auckland team and play a key role in supporting RLB’s growth across New Zealand. We are open to discussing flexibility around full time or part time hours.

In this role, you’ll lead the preparation of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals. Working closely with our directors and technical teams to craft compelling, client-focused submissions. You will also contribute to a range of marketing and communications activities, including presentations, thought leadership, and social media content.

This is a fast-paced and highly collaborative role, ideal for someone who thrives on deadlines, enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders, and takes pride in producing high quality work with plenty of scope to improve the way we develop content, streamline processes, and enhance the quality and efficiency of our submissions.

What you’ll be doing
Lead and deliver compelling, client-focused bids, tenders, EOIs, and proposals to support our growth
Work closely with directors, project teams, and subject matter experts to craft high-quality, winning submissions and marketing and communications collateral
Maintain, update, and continuously improve bid libraries, templates, processes, CVs, and case studies as well as case studies and content to promote the great work we do at RLB
Identify opportunities to enhance bid processes and content development using digital tools and AI

You’re a highly organised and detail driven writer and business development professional who can confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines.

You’ll also bring:

Experience in bid writing, tender management, and proposal development
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong time management and organisational ability
Confidence working with stakeholders across all levels
The ability to interpret tender requirements and deliver tailored responses
Great Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and design programmes
An interest in leveraging technology, including AI, to improve efficiency, quality, and ways of working
